Formation Co-Op Congregation Applications

Congregations who are selected will enter a two-year process in which they will be accompanied by a Guide that has been trained by the Formation Co-Op. The two-year process includes:

Deep Listening to understand the context of your congregation and community.
Learning from research, your context, training resources, and each other.
Experimenting with new frameworks for youth ministry based on your listening.
Evaluating and adapting, then Sharing what you learn with the wider community.

Key Dates:

• January 18, 2024: Application Open
• April 15, 2024: Applications Due
• May 10, 2024: Congregations Notified
• June 30, 2024: Online Orientation
• August/September 2024: Site Visit by Guide (Date TBD by Congregation/Guide)
• October 2024 - January 2025: Listening Sessions conducted by Congregation Team
• January 21-23, 2025: Co-Op Training Required
• January 28-30, 2026: Co-Op Training Required

Application Information

We will be selecting 14 Congregation Teams for this cohort. We look for a variety of diversities in our selection, and are most interested in congregations who are willing to enter into the listening and learning process with open hearts and minds to see where the Spirit might lead us together as we seek to root young people in a lifelong faith.
