Formation Co-Op Guide Applications

Guides who are selected will enter a two-year commitment in which they will accompany two Congregation Teams as they listen, learn and experiment with new youth ministry practices in their congregations and communities. During the two years, Guides participate in:

An annual Guide Training to equip you for your role.
Site Visit to each of your assigned congregations.
Monthly Online Meetings with each Congregation Team.
Monthly Guide Check-ins with cohort of Guides.
Annual Co-Op Training with all Congregation Teams and Guides.

Key Dates:

  • January 18, 2024: Applications Open
  • March 1, 2024: Applications Due
  • March 20, 2024: Guide Selections Announced
  • April 14, 2024: Guide Online Orientation
  • June 21-23, 2024: In-Person Guide Training Required to serve as a Guide
  • August/September: Site Visits to Congregation Teams (Date TBD by Congregation/Guide) 
  • January 20-23, 2025: Co-Op Training Required
  • January 27-30, 2026: Co-Op Training Required

 

Application Information

We will be selecting 7 Guides for this Cohort. We are seeking a diverse group of leaders with congregational youth ministry experience who are keen observers, ask curious questions, and are open to learning along with their Congregation Teams. Guides are first and foremost ones who accompany, and are not expected (or need to be) experts or professional coaches (although we wouldn’t exclude either!).
